The advanced virtualization technology in the SVS200 simplifies data migration, volume management, and data replication in SAN environments—supporting up to 16 petabytes of heterogeneous storage—all of which can be managed from one single pane of glass. The SVS200 enables transparent data movement for array decommissioning, repurposing, upgrading, maintenance, data center moves, consolidation, implementation of ILM policies, and performance tuning. The SVS200 simplifies the management of virtual volumes, dynamically reallocating capacity, pooling heterogeneous volumes into a single reservoir that results in increased capacity utilization. The SVS200 enables local and remote heterogeneous data replication for data distribution, data mining, backup, restore, and data validation testing.
