Fast and Scalable Fibre Channel Storage

The Raidtec FS4000 is Plasmon highest capacity Fibre Channel RAID system, ideal for nearline or application specific storage in Windows environments. Based on 4Gb Fibre Channel host interfaces, the FS4000 uses a PowerPC processor with three independent PCI Express busses to deliver a system bandwidth of up to 1,200 MB/sec. This outstanding performance is matched by its expandability, supporting up to a massive 36TB using 48 x 750GB SATA II (Serial ATA) drives.

For applications that require either fault tolerance (such as databases) or maximum performance (video/broadcast applications), the FS4000 is available with dual active / active controllers. A single controller version of the FS4000 is ideal for cost sensitive storage applications that do not required dual controller redundancy such as disk-to-disk backup and the storage of reference data.
