The Raidtec FS3102 is a 2Gb Fibre Channel attached RAID solution designed for use in departmental SAN (Storage Area Network) environments. The FS3102 combines high specification professional SATA drives and a dual 2Gb Fibre Channel interface in a high-density, 2U enclosure. The single controller FS3102 offers an excellent value proposition for those organizations looking for a SAN storage solution, but do not require the enterprise class redundancy offered in Plasmon FX4000 Fibre to SAS products.
The FS3102 uses a new generation FS RAID controller designed and developed by Plasmon. This controller technology is focused on performance and reliability with a SATA II compatible backplane that supports both SATA I and SATA II disk drives.
