NetApp FAS3000 Series
Redefining value for enterprise storage
The FAS3000 series delivers up to twice the price/performance of competing products in its class and supports more users per system for greater storage consolidation capability. As part of the unified NetApp architecture, these systems support file services, FC SAN, IP SAN, and multiple network configurations, while offering scalability to higher performance systems with seamless, painless upgrades without requiring the "forklift" data migration needed by most other offerings currently on the market.
Additionally, the FAS3000 systems fully extend the value of the FlexVol™ capabilities built into Data ONTAP™ 7G by increasing disk performance even for small data volumes. FlexVol technology can reduce storage management costs and increase customers storage utilization by up to 50%. Combined with the new SATA storage option, primary storage costs can be reduced by more than half.
Enterprise-Class Scalability and Manageability
Available in two models, FAS3050 and FAS3020, these systems are designed to meet the needs of the fast growing midtier enterprise storage market. FAS3000 series systems are ideally suited for enterprise application infrastructures, such as database, e-mail/messaging, home directory consolidation, and disaster recovery solutions. Designed with enterprise serviceability, continuous availability, and easy manageability in mind, the FAS3000 series increases reliability, simplifies maintenance, and reduces storage infrastructure complexity.
